Today there are a number of different types of clinical laboratories. There are the laboratories owned by a single biologist which we have seen being transformed into smaller or larger groups. There are also hospital clinical laboratories.
Tendencies in the laboratory sector
In the last few decades, chains of clinical laboratories have developed their international networks. In the USA for example, you will find clinical laboratories in supermarkets, healthcare centers or as standalone walk-in centers. These clinical laboratories are moving quickly to digitize their operations, and robotic innovation is providing them with a new perspective.
